Louise Shepherd is a highly experienced rock climbing guide based right on the doorstep of Mt Arapiles and close to the Grampians.
Louise has been rock climbing for 30 years and guiding for 25 years. She was one of Australia's top climbers during the 80s and was one of the first women to regularly onsight grade 25. Louise made many significant ascents in Australia and around the world, including several new routes.
Still an active climber today, Louise enjoys introducing beginner and intermediate climbers to her home turf at Mt Arapiles and the Grampians. And having learnt to climb at Arapiles herself during the 1970s, she knows the nooks and crannies of the Mount better than most!
Louise Shepherd also teaches traditional lead climbing to those wanting to learn to lead climb in a safe and supportive way.
